
Women's Rowing Sweeps All Races at Governor's Cup

FELLSMERE, Fla. — The Columbia women's rowing team earned a clean sweep over FIT and Barry in all races at the Governor's Cup on Saturday morning at Canal 54.
The Varsity 8+ highlighted the day with a first-place finish, completing the 2,000-meter course in 6:42.20. The Lions beat FIT by over 11 seconds and were nearly 20 seconds clear of Barry.
Columbia's day continued with a pair of wins in the Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+. The Lions won the V4+ by 13 seconds over Barry and over 27 seconds against FIT. The 2V4+ was a two-boat race between Columbia and Barry, which the Lions won by over 33 seconds.

Columbia is back in action next Saturday when it takes on Rutgers at Raritan River in Piscataway, N.J.
