Men's Squash Falls To No. 2 Rochester

Columbia Men's Squash falls 6-3 on Saturday
NEW YORK- Columbia Men's squash falls 6-3 today against the No. 2 Rochester Yellow Jackets. The matches today were highly competitive, with four of the nine matches being sent to the fifth set.
"Rochester is one of those teams that are always up for the fight," Head Squash Coach Jacques Swanepoel said. "They can play matches really tough. This week they beat the number one team in the country and we knew it was going to be tough. I think out guys competed well and the matches were tight until the end. We played pretty well."
In position No. 4, the competition was fierce as Carter Robitaille started off against Lawrence Kuhn 2-0. Kuhn quickly answered and tied the match up 2-2 going into the fifth game. Robitaille came through and clinched the matchup, finishing the last game with a fast 11-5 decision.
In position No. 9, Aditya Kankariya fell to Sergio Martin after pushing through to the fifth game of the set. The games alternated back and forth, and the match was ultimately determined by a 9-11 finish against the Lions.
