Columbia Wraps Non-Conference Play at Bucknell Tuesday

The Lions will take a break from Ivy League action, traveling to face the Bison at 6 p.m.

NEW YORK — The Columbia women's soccer team will break from Ivy League action on Tuesday, traveling to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for their final non-conference test against the Bucknell Bison. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET.

The game will stream live on the Patriot League Network, while live stats are available here.

Entering the match, Columbia (6-3-1, 1-1 Ivy) looks to get back in the win column after dropping a 2-0 decision to league-leading Brown on Saturday. After the Bears scored the opening goal in the 34th minute, the Lions had multiple chances to equalize throughout the match including a goal from junior midfielder Cayla Davis with 22 minutes to play which was ultimately called off due to goalkeeper interference. Brown tacked on its second goal in the final minute of action.

Davis (3 goals, 2 assists), senior midfielder Maddie Temares (2 goals, 4 assists) and sophomore midfielder Jessica Schildkraut (2 goals, 4 assists) each lead the Lions in scoring with eight points apiece, while Davis and sophomore forward Mallaika Tomar lead the team in goals with three each. First-year keeper Liz Matei has started all 10 matches for Columbia, registering four shutouts, and 38 total saves and a 1.00 goals against average.

SCOUTING THE BISON
Led by fifth-year head coach Kelly Cook, Bucknell (4-8, 2-2 Patriot League) is coming off back-to-back losses against conference foes, including a 1-3 loss at Lehigh on Oct. 2 and a 1-2 home defeat against Army on Oct. 5.

Senior forward Gabby Bair leads the Bison in scoring with three goals on the season, while first-year goalie Kaylee Donnelly has started all 12 games in goal with 64 total saves and a .99 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Lions lead 3-0 in the all-time series between the two teams, dating back to the first meeting in 1995. The programs have not met since 2005, where Columbia claimed a 2-1 victory in New York.

ON DECK
Returning to conference play, the Lions welcome Penn (6-3-1, 1-1 Ivy) to Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium on Saturday for a 5 p.m. matchup. The game will be shown live on ESPN3.
