Lions Resume Ivy Play at Home Friday vs. Dartmouth

Columbia gets back to Ivy League action on Friday at 5 p.m. against Dartmouth on ESPN+

NEW YORK – Columbia women's lacrosse returns to action Friday, March 22, continuing Ivy League play against Dartmouth. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. ET at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium.

Friday's game, along with all home contests in 2019, can be watched live on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth will be the Lions' third opponent in a six-day span, having defeated UConn 13-7 on Saturday before dropping a tough 11-10 overtime decision to Villanova on Tuesday.

Against Villanova, Columbia rallied back from a 6-2 deficit to take an 8-7 lead with 15:13 to play. After the Wildcats went back up 10-8, the Lions posted back-to-back goals to force overtime. First-year attacker Rachel Graff led Columbia in their scoring efforts with her first career hat trick while fellow first-year Katie Lutz and senior Orna Madigan each added two scores apiece. Junior goalkeeper Abby Roberts also had a game-high 12 saves against the Wildcats.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green enter Friday's contest with a 3-3 overall record, including a 1-0 mark in Ivy games having defeated Brown, 15-11 on March 2. In its most recent outing, Dartmouth defeated UMass 19-7 on March 17 at home.

Senior attacker Kierra Sweeney leads the Big Green with 20 goals on the season, while senior attacker Kellen D'Alleva has a team-leading 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Lions trail 1-21 in the all-time series between the two programs. Columbia earned its first-ever win over the Big Green in 2017, a 17-10 victory at home in head coach Andrea Cofrin's second season at the helm. Last season, Dartmouth won 20-10 on their home field.
