Columbia Competes Saturday at Cherry Hill Invitational

Racing begins at 8 a.m. Live results available through RegattaWorks
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's rowing team continues spring racing on Saturday with a trip to Camden, New Jersey for the Cherry Hill Invitational. The regatta is hosted by Bucknell on the Cooper River.

Saturday's racing begins at 8 a.m. with three heats in the varsity eight. Each heat winner plus the three fastest will move on to the Grand Final later that morning. The next six fastest times will race in the Petite Final. The rest of the boats will compete in the Third Level Final.
The varsity crew will consist of senior coxswain Christy Abraham, junior Sabina Maurer, junior Anna Beshlian, junior Liza Ray, senior Maya Hartleben, sophomore Honor Clements, first-year Hayley Willner, first-year India Colegrave and junior Astrid Walker-Stewart. The crew will race in the first heat of the day against Marist, UConn, Lehigh and Delaware.
Columbia's second varsity goes off at 8:50 in the third heat of their group. The third varsity, which was originally scheduled to race in the second heat of the second varsity group, will now race in the third varsity grouping at 9:50 against Fordham, UConn, Delaware and George Washington. The Lions will also send their varsity four into the water at 9:10 against Marist, UConn, Fordham and GW. All pairing in Saturday's heats are subject to change.
Columbia is coming off its second consecutive victory in the Woodbury Cup, besting Northeastern by 10 seconds last weekend in Boston. The Lions have now won six of the last 10 cup races against the Huskies.
