Columbia Travels to Brown for Saturday Dual

The Lions will head to Providence, R.I., to continue Ivy League action against the Bears at noon
NEW YORK — The Columbia men's swimming and diving program continues its 2020 slate this weekend, traveling to face the Brown Bears at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Saturday at noon ET.
The Lions head to Providence with a 4-1 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in Ivy League duals. The lone loss of the season came against defending league champion, Harvard, on Nov. 22.
In its most recent outing, Columbia picked up a midweek conference victory over the visiting Cornell Big Red on Tuesday. The Lions won 9-of-16 events in the meet, including having three individuals win multiple events. Double-winner Albert Gwo set a new Uris Pool record in the 50-yard freestyle in the contest, blasting a speedy 19.71, while also winning the 100 free in 44.58. Other mulit-event winners included Nian Guo Liu in the 200 free (1:36.96) and 200 breaststroke (2:00.14), and Shawn Lou in the 1,000 free (9:34.35) and 500 free (4:38.25). First-year Ben Blizard was Columbia's highest finisher in both diving events, finishing second on both the opening 3-meter (333.45) and 1-meter (264.60).
SCOUTING BROWN
Entering Saturday's meeting, Brown sits at 2-4, 1-4 Ivy, with its lone conference win coming over Dartmouth on Dec. 8. In their most recent outing, the Bears fell to Harvard, 203.5-96.5, in Cambridge on Wednesday.
Columbia has won nine straight dual meets against the Bears, including a 163-137 victory inside Percy Uris Natatorium last season.
ON DECK
Columbia will have nearly two weeks until its next dual, traveling to face Navy on Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.
