NEW YORK – The Columbia women's lacrosse team continues its non-conference schedule Wednesday, Feb. 19, traveling to Fairfield, Connecticut, to take on the Fairfield Stags at 3 p.m. ET.

LAST TIME OUT
Columbia is coming off its season opener which saw the Lions fall to Army, 16-7. Both
Katie Lutz and
Brailey Faris recorded two goals in the contest, while
Chelsea Witteck,
Alexandria Absey and
Devon Stuzin added one apiece. Sophomore
Ryan Schlageter recorded a career-high 15 saves in the matchup, playing all 60 minutes in net.

SCOUTING THE STAGS
One team will come up with their first win of the season on Wednesday, as Fairfield enters the matchup with an 0-2 record. After falling to Holy Cross, 10-8, in their season opener on Feb. 8, the Stags dropped a 19-12 decision at UConn last Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Junior midfielder Diana DeVita leads the Stags with five goals and seven points on the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Conquest has started both games, registering 20 saves while allowing 27 goals.

Columbia owns a 10-2 overall record against the Stags, including a 3-1 record under Columbia fifth-year head coach
Andrea Cofrin.

Last season, in snowy conditions at Wien Stadium, Fairfield eked out a 14-12 victory for its first win in the series since 2008. In the outing, then-sophomore
Alison Schwasnick had a team-leading three goals and four points.

The Lions will wrap up their two-game road stretch, heading to Siena on Saturday, Feb. 22, for a noon contest.
