5 Things to Know: Columbia at Dartmouth

The Lions will make their last trip of the regular season at Dartmouth.

NEW YORK --  The Columbia women's soccer team (7-5-1) will travel to Ivy League rival Dartmouth College for 3:00 PM kickoff at Burnham Field.

Fans can tune in live at ESPN+ or follow live stats at DartmouthSports.com

Here are five things to know before the Lions hit the road.

#1 | KEEPING UP WITH THE LIONS
With just three contests remaining in the regular season, the Lions look to move up the Ivy ranks with a victory over Dartmouth. Currently, Columbia and Dartmouth sit in a four-way tie for fifth place with Yale and Cornell, all having secured one league win.

Columbia claimed its first conference win on Oct. 9 with a 2-0 victory over Penn. Despite dropping a close double overtime 0-1 battle with Princeton one week later, the Lions have boasted strong offensive performances by recording eight goals for two wins in the last three games. Nata Ramirez continues to lead the Lions in both goals (6) and points (16).

#2 | ROAD FINALE
Saturday's trip to Hanover will conclude the Lions' slate of regular season away games. On the road, Columbia is 2-3-1 including out of conference victories over La Salle (2-1, OT) and Fairleigh Dickinson (3-0). Cavaliere scored one goal in each game, forcing overtime against La Salle with a mark in the 87th minute. She currently follows Ramirez with 10 points off four goals and two assists.

#3 | STATISTICAL EDGE
Through 13 games, Columbia has accumulated a statistical edge over opponents both offensively and defensively. The Lions have outscored opponents 19-12 while holding a 12.9-11.2 shots advantage. Of these shots, the Lions average 0.113 shots on goal as opposed to opponents who average 0.083. Of all Ivy keepers, sophomore goalkeeper Paige Nurkin ranks second in the league in both save percentage (0.867) and goals against average (0.81).

#4 | IVY LEAGUE HONOR ROLL

The Dartmouth women's soccer team (5-5-1) enters Saturday evenly matched with the Lions in conference play at 1-3 after toppling Yale 2-1 on Oct. 9 before falling to Penn 1-3 on Oct. 16. Historically, Columbia is 7-13-5 against Dartmouth. The teams last met on Oct. 26, 2019 battling to a 1-1 double overtime draw.

Freshman forward Hannah Curtin leads the offense with a team-best five goals and 13 points. Meanwhile, junior Allie Winstanley has dished out the most assists this season with five.

Emily Hardy has made three starts this season, possessing a 0.731 save percentage with seven goals against. Prior to October, teammate Charlotte Cyr started the first eight contests in goal. Regardless of who is between the pipes, however, junior Grace Faulkner is a fixture on defense leading Dartmouth in total minutes (999) having started all 11 contests.
