
Field Hockey Hosts Dartmouth Friday Before Honoring Seniors on Sunday Against New Hampshire

Lions enter the weekend winning two of last three contests
NEW YORK - Columbia field hockey (4-8, 2-2) returns home this weekend after winning two of its last three contests. The Lions earned two thrilling conference victories over Brown and Yale. On October 8, Elizabeth Brissette netted an overtime winner against the Bears. Katie Wimmer added 10 saves. On October 14, it was Lindsey Yu playing the role of the hero. The sophomore broke a 1-1 tie in the 54th minute against Yale, helping Lions secure their first win against the Bulldogs since 2019.
Looking ahead to this weekend, Columbia hosts Dartmouth (3-10, 0-4) on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. The teams last met on October 23, 2021 and it was the Lions coming out on top 2-1 in Hanover.
On Sunday, Columbia welcomes the University of New Hampshire (7-7, 2-3) for a 1:00 p.m. showdown. The teams played last year for the first time and it was the Wildcats earning a 3-2 win on their home turf.
Before Sunday's game, the Lions will honor its seven seniors: Frederique Fyhr, Ellie Decker, Sarah Considine, Elizabeth Brissette, Meredith Heaney, Zoe Metalios, and Lucy Holzinger
