Final Road Test Awaits Football at Brown

The Lions head to Providence for the penultimate game of the season
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. The Lions picked up their first win at Harvard Stadium since 1995 after topping the Crimson, 21-20, last week.
2. Scott Valentas was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after posting 13 tackles against the Crimson.
3. Columbia blocked two kicks to help secure the win last week and has four blocks on the season.
4. The Lions will look to tie a program record with their fourth road victory of the year Saturday.
THE MATCHUP
Columbia and Brown meet for the 86th time in a series that dates back to 1902. The Lions are 30-53-2 all-time against the Bears, but have won four of the last five meetings. Columbia rallied from a 14-point deficit with 23 unanswered points to earn a 23-17 win last year. Joe Green threw three touchdown passes , while Mike Roussos and Ryan Young both totaled over 100 all-purpose yards. The defense held teh Bears to a season-low in points and forced three turnovers in the home win.
COLUMBIA'S STATUS
The Lions used strong special teams and timely execution on offense to rally for a 21-20 victory at Harvard Saturday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak and gave Columbia its first Ivy League win of the season. Luke Painton caught a 25-yard TD pass and the Lions' converted on a two-point try in the fourth quarter and Harvard missed a game-winning try off the goal post with just over a minute on the clock to give Columbia the win.
BROWN'S STATUS
The Bears are coming off a 69-17 defeat at Yale last weekend. The Bulldogs put up 35 points in the second quarter to effectively put the game away. Running back Allen Smith posted a season-high 76 yards and is up to eight rushing touchdowns on the year
ROAD WARRIORS
Columbia improved to 3-1 on the road after topping Harvard and a win Saturday would tie the program record for most away victories in a season. The Lions have previously accomplished the feat four times, the last coming in 2017.
