5 THINGS TO KNOW:
1. MAKING HISTORY
• Columbia is in the midst of its best season in program history. Its 16-4 overall record is its best through 20 games in the program's Div. I era, and ties the 1985-86 Div. III team for the best in team history. The Lions are also 7-1 in Ivy play for the first time after starting the league season 7-0.
• Columbia's best Div. I season came in 2009-10, when they went 18-10 with a 9-5 Ivy mark to finish third in the league standings. The program's best season at any level came in 1985-86, going 21-6 and qualifying for the NCAA Div. III Regional.
2. PENN SWEEP
• Columbia earned its first season sweep over Penn since 2010 when it defeated the Quakers, 66-57, on Feb. 4 at the Palestra. Kaitlyn Davis led the way with 17 points, 15 rebounds and a career-high five steals, while Abbey Hsu also scored 17 points and was 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. The Lions led by as many as 14 in the third quarter and held off a fourth-quarter rally by the Quakers that saw them pull to within four.
• Nine days prior, Columbia defeated Penn, 61-56, in New York (Jan. 26). The Lions trailed by as many as 10 in the second half but used a 20-6 run through the third and fourth quarters to take the lead. It was the team's first victory over the Quakers since 2011, which put an end to Penn's 18-game series winning streak. Abbey Hsu scored a game-high 22 points while Kaitlyn Davis went for 16 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high-tying four blocks. The Lions also got a huge contribution off the bench, as junior Jadia Patrick scored all 13 of her points in the second half (4-5 FG) to spark the comeback.

3. HSU ON THE CUSP
• Abbey Hsu enters the game four made 3-pointers away from tying the program record of 73 in a season, set by Alexa Giuliano in 2014-15. Hsu is 69-for-188 (.367) from the outside. She is No. 3 in the NCAA in makes per game (3.45), No. 5 in attempts and No. 6 in total makes. Hsu leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game. Her scoring average and 3-point percentage (.367) are each top 100 in the NCAA.
4. IVY LEAGUE PROWESS
• Columbia rolled off a program record seven consecutive Ivy League wins to start the league season. Along the way, they swept Penn for the first time since 2010 and earned their third consecutive victory against Harvard. In conference play, the Lions boast the second-best scoring defense (54.1) and third-best scoring offense (60.6).
• Individually, Kaitlyn Davis has been dominant against league competition. She enters Friday averaging 13.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.9 steals through the first eight Ivy League games. She is shooting 47.3 percent in those contests. Davis has been named Ivy League Player of the Week a league-high four times this season, including twice since the start of league play.

5. SCOUTING YALE
• The Bulldogs (13-8, 6-3 Ivy) are coming off a 1-1 weekend at Dartmouth (W) and Harvard (L). They are a defensive-minded team, entering play with the league's No. 2 ranked scoring defense (56.2), which also ranks Top 40 nationally. They are also Top 50 in the NCAA in field goal defense (.366). Yale is led on the floor by 6-5 junior Camilla Emsbo, who is averaging 14.7 points and 9.8 rebounds on the season. The lengthy post player is Top 25 in the NCAA in blocks per game (2.2) and double-doubles (11), as well as No. 1 in the Ivies in field goal percentage (.531) and No. 2 in rebounds. Jenna Clark (12.1) is the only other player who averages double figures scoring. Clark does most of her work running the point, dishing out a league-best 6.2 assists per game. She ranks Top 15 nationally in both total assists (131) and assists per game.
• Columbia is aiming for its first season sweep of the Bulldogs since 2011. The Lions have won the last two in the series.
