COLUMBIA'S STATUS: Bringing a seven-game winning streak into Tuesday, the Lions are coming off a weekend sweep of Brown that included a pair of comeback wins to up their League winning streak to six games. The sweep put the Lions in first in the Ivy League. Tuesday's midweek game is the lone midweek game of the season to be played on Tuesday.
INSIDE THE SERIES: The two New York City programs will meet for the 130th time in Tuesday's midweek game. It's the first time the Rams have come down from the Bronx to face the Lions in Manhattan since 2018, a game the Lions won 10-1. The last time these two met, in 2019, the Rams came away with a close 3-2 win in 11 innings. Over the last three meetings the Lions have taken two and last won in the Bronx in 2017.
WHAT THE RAM'S BRING: Fordham enters Tuesday's matchup on a five-game losing streak, having been swept over the weekend by UMass in an Atlantic 10 matchup. The last win for Fordham came in the first game of a A-10 matchup with Saint Louis on Apr. 2. The last non-conference win came on Mar. 26 with an 8-5 win over Monmouth in the Bronx.
STAYING SWEEPTASTIC: For the second straight weekend, the Lions swept their Ivy League matchup, taking down Brown in all three games played in Providence, R.I. It was the first time the Lions have swept an Ivy Leauge weekend since 2015.
COMEBACK CATS: The Lions have had a flair for the dramatic, completing two comebacks over the weekend to beat Brown, giving them four Ivy League wins when trailing entering the seventh inning. The latest comebacks came in the first game of Brown's Saturday doubleheader and in the Sunday game to wrap up the sweep.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: With a solid weekend at the plate and several stellar plays at third base,
Anton Lazits was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the week of April 11.
Lazits was tied for the team lead in batting average, hitting .500 with 2 2B 1 HR 2 RBIs and he slugged .813 percent. The Lion first-year was also perfect in the field, producing a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with three putouts and four assists.
NUMBERS ARE IVY: Columbia's individual numbers in the Ivy League have been solid putting the Lions in first place in the league.

THIS CATCHER CAN SCOOT: Weston Eberly has shown some power and speed during Columbia's 27 games, smacking four triples over that stretch. He ranks seventh nationally in total triples and his triples per game average puts him 4th in the nation. Eberly is also tied for the lead for most triples by a catcher in the country.
EJ LOVES NEW YORK: Only having 12 at bats at home,
EJ Kreutzmann has really enjoyed his time at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium, hitting .583 with 10 RBIs 2 2B and a home run. Over the past weekend, Kreutzmann really got it done, hitting .500 with 5 RBIs and scoring two runs while only getting eight at-bats.
NATIONALLY FAST: Columbia has been extremely aggressive on the base paths all season and the numbers reflect that. The Lions have racked up 48 total stolen bases and are averaging 1.8 stolen bases per game
Nationally they rank 33rd in stolen bases per game and 49th in total stolen bases. And sit second in the Ivy League in both categories.
QUICK WAGNER WIN: After having Wednesday's game at Monmouth canceled due to the weather, the Lions were able to put together a quick home game with Wagner, who had their own game canceled and made the trip up from Staten Island, winning 10-2 (7) at the time the umpires called the game due to darkness.
BROOMS ARE IVY: Columbia swept the Princeton Tigers for their first Ivy League weekend sweep since 2019 when they swept Yale. The Lions used another comeback to take the first game, before dominating the Tigers over the next two games to complete the sweep.
THE BIG 300: Brett Boretti reached the 400-win plateau last season and during Columbia's home opening win over Manhattan on Mar. 23, he got his 300th win with the Lions. He sits second all-time, with Boretti making the move up from third in Columbia's weekend at Davidson. Boretti became only the second coach in program history to ever reach the 300-win milestone.
Boretti's 175 Ivy League wins and .601 winning percentage in conference play are both program benchmarks.
PRESEASON PICKS: Columbia was picked to finish second in the Ivy League preseason poll. The Lions, who tied with Yale for the most first-place votes at five, finished six points ahead of Penn, who were picked to finish third.

LIONS IN THE PROS: Columbia currently has one player in the professional ranks as Josh Simpson '19CC, a left-handed pitcher who was drafted by the Miami Marlins in 2019, remains in their system having spent time pitching as high as Single-A ball.
