#25 Men's Tennis Readies for Ivy-Packed Weekend

Columbia will travel to #45 Penn before hosting #39 Princeton.
NEW YORK -- The #25 Columbia men's tennis team will travel to Philadelphia for a 2:00 P.M. match at the #45 University of Pennsylvania on Friday before hosting #39 Princeton at LifeTime Westchester on Sunday (1:00 P.M.).
Columbia will continue to operate under a spectator pass list while competing at LifeTime. Questions should be directed to Sports Information Director, Morgan Turner (mt3580@columbia.edu).
The Lions continue to be led by #17 Alex Kotzen playing from the top singles spot. Teammates Max Westphal and Theo Winegar headline Columbia's doubles competition, ranking #47 nationally.
Sunday's match will mark the final home competition for senior Austen Huang. This spring, Huang boasts a 12-4 singles record.
#45 PENN
Prior to falling to Harvard, 0-5, on Sunday, Penn had boasted an eight-match winning streaking with a perfect 4-0 league record. The Quakers defeated Princeton 7-0 in their Ivy League opener before toppling Brown (4-0), Yale (5-2), and Dartmouth (6-1).
Junior Edoardo Graziani owns the Quakers' highest individual ranking at #78 while classmate Aditya Gupta enters the rankings this week at #123.
Westphal and Winegar can expect to face #49 Graziani and Kevin Zhu in the doubles competition.
#39 PRINCETON
Princeton will face Cornell on Friday before crossing the Hudson, Sunday. This season, the Tigers have defeated Yale (5-2), Brown (4-0), and Dartmouth (5-2) in Ivy League play while falling both Penn (0-7) and Harvard (2-5).
Playing from the top spot, #48 Ryan Seggerman owns a 16-7 record, including a 10-match winning streak from February, 21 - March 27. Alongside doubles teammatee Justin Barki, the 2019 First Team All-Ivy doubles competitor ranks #31 nationally.
