The Lions will square off against their Ivy League foe on Saturday at Noon at Uris Natatorium
NEW YORK — Fresh off a week long training trip in Mexico, the Columbia men's swimming and diving team is set to return to action on Saturday afternoon, squaring off against Ivy League foe Brown at Uris Natatorium. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
SENIOR SALUTE
The Lions will be honoring the careers of their senior class at tomorrow's meet.
"Tomorrow we celebrate the remarkable careers of 10 of our athletes; six swimmers and four divers," Head Coach Jim Bolster said. "The legacy of success, camaraderie and fun these 10 leave behind will long be remembered. Their willingness to invest in each other and the entity that is Columbia Swimming and Diving has been inspirational. We cannot thank them adequately for all that they have accomplished individually and collectively. We wish them the best as they move forward, but hope they will return often and be generous!"
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out, the Lions took part in the Big Al Invite hosted by Yale in early December in Princeton, N.J. Columbia finished in third place at the event, while many Lions had great individual performances.
Jonathan Suckow continued his run of dominance, claiming first place on day one in the 1m boards (408.70), and then backing that up with a victorious finish in the 3m competition on day two (398.65). His score on the 1m boards was a pool record.
Meanwhile, Suckow's teammates had some impressive performances as well. Nick Leavell placed third in Saturday's 3m contest with a score of 353.10. Casey Fellows also made the A finals, taking eighth with a score of 320.05. Fellows also came off a victory in the B finals of the 1m boards on Friday with a score of 284.40.

SCOUTING BROWN
The Bears come into Friday's clash with a 1-3 record so far this season. Brown owns a win over Dartmouth, and defeats at the hands of Penn, Princeton, and Yale.
Last time out, Brown fended off NYU to come out victorious in the Bruno Invite hosted by the Bears in early December. In the event, Brown set three school records, highlighted by a first place finish by Jack Kelly in the 200-breast, who's time of 1:52.93 was good for the 14th fastest time in the nation. Meanwhile, Max Hardart set a school record in the 1650 free with a time of 15:08.04, and Rowland Lawver set a school record in the 1m dive with a score of 371.18.
