Columbia Set to Host ITA Women’s Northeast Regional

22 teams will be represented in the regional
NEW YORK – Columbia's Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center will serve as the host site for the 2023 ITA Women's Northeast Regional starting on Friday, October 6 and concluding on Sunday, October 8. Matches will be played using the indoor and outdoor courts available at the Milstein Family Tennis Center.
The singles portion of the tournament feature a 96-person main draw. On the doubles side, the main draw will be made up of 48 teams. Both draws will be single elimination. The singles and doubles finalists from this regional event will earn an automatic berth to the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships.
The Columbia women's tennis team will be represented by six singles players and three doubles teams in the field. Gayathri Krishnan, Julia Haynes, Fatima Keita, Salma Farhat, Clarine Lerby and Sophia Wang will compete in the singles draw. The duos of Krishnan/Farhat, Haynes/Sophia Strugnell and Winta Tewolde/Rachele Rimondini will compete in the doubles draw.
Overall, 22 team in the northeast region will have players competing in New York City this weekend. Host school Columbia is joined by Army, Binghamton, Cornell, Drexel, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Hofstra, Lehigh, Long Island, Marist, NJIT, Penn, Princeton, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. Francis (PA), St. Bonaventure, St. John's, Stony Brook, Temple and Wagner.

Attendance is free of charge throughout the whole tournament. Fans attending the match must enter at the gate on 218th Street across from Seaman Avenue, and go through the main gate entrance. The Baker Athletic Complex does not have any onsite parking for spectators/fans. Street parking is available in the area, but please read all street signs prior to parking your vehicle.
