Columbia Closes Homestand Saturday Afternoon Against Yale

Annual Play4Kay Game to be televised live on SNY
NEW YORK – Columbia women's basketball (18-4, 7-2 Ivy) will conclude a five-game homestand on Saturday when it hosts Yale (11-11, 5-4 Ivy) on Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 noon Eastern.
PLAY4KAY
Columbia will host its annual Play4Kay game on Saturday. Play4Kay is a women's basketball initiative to raise awareness and funds for women's cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
Since the 2007-08 season, the Lions have participated in the Play4Kay game, helping raise awareness in the fight against women's cancer. The first 300 fans to the game will also receive free pink Columbia Basketball shirt.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DAY
Columbia women's basketball is also celebrating International Students Day on Saturday. The first 200 students from Columbia ISSO (International Students Scholars Office) will receive a free drawstring bag. TICKETS
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time by visiting GoColumbiaLions.com/Tickets. Fans can also purchase tickets on-site at the ticket window, located at the main entrance on the southeast corner of 120th and Broadway.

TIED AT THE TOP
• Columbia (7-2), Princeton (7-2) and Harvard (7-2) are all bunched at the top of the Ivy League standings. Sitting a game behind is Penn (6-3), followed by Yale (5-4), which is currently one spot outside the top four needed to qualify for the Ivy League Tournament.
• The Lions have just two games left against the top five, hosting Yale on Saturday before traveling to Harvard next Friday. Columbia's final three games come against Dartmouth (0-9), Brown (2-7) and Cornell (2-7).
IN THE NET RANKINGS
• Columbia continues to be the highest-ranked Ivy League team in the NCAA NET. Entering Friday, the Lions are No. 36. Princeton (45), Harvard (83) and Penn (107) round out the top four in the Ivy League.
• The Lions have been the highest-ranked Ivy League team in the NET all season long, peaking at No. 23 on Dec. 14.
• Columbia earned a NET ranking of No. 31 in the first published rankings of the 2022-23 season (Dec. 5)

• With 252 career threes, Hsu ranks sixth in Ivy League history in 3-point field goals. She is nine behind Erin Maher (Harvard, 1988-93) and Shayna Mehta (Brown, 2015-19), who are tied for fourth with 261. The all-time record belongs to Katie Benzan, who his 287 threes at Harvard from 2016-19.
