LACROSSE
It is opening day for the Columbia lacrosse team on Saturday, when the Lions travel to Pennsylvania to take on Lafayette for their 2023 season opener. In the first year under new head coach
Anne Murray in 2022, Columbia finished with two wins and will be looking to build upon that in year two. The Lions leading goal scorer and leader in draw controls,
Dani Falcone, is set to return in 2023 and poised for another massive season. Senior Adele Swanson, who led Columbia with 25 ground balls last season, will be leading a defensive unit that has built up a ton of chemistry and will be ready to go to battle in the upcoming campaign. Last season, the Leopards finished with a 2-13 overall record, closing the year on a five game losing streak.
