Lions post finishes in front of ranked teams
PRINCETON, N.J. — The women's rowing team completed the two-day Ivy League Invitational on Sunday at Lake Carnegie.
"The weekend was challenging with strong opponents and consistent weather delays," head coach Emerson Curry said. "The varsity and third varsity eights had solid performances, but both still require development to be where we want to be. In the second varsity eight and varsity four's, we saw moments of speed, but not a complete race. We have training and shuffling to do before Eastern Sprints."
Columbia finished in front of No. 18 Oregon State in the first varsity eight heat two race. The Lions also had a second place finish in the third varsity eight heat one race where Columbia placed in front of No. 17 USC. In session three's third varsity eight heat one race, Columbia finished in front of No. 16 Rutgers.
