Ally Clark Signs Professional Contract with Odense Boldklub Q,Denmark

The former Columbia standout inks her first professional deal after college

NEW YORK – Former Columbia women's soccer player Ally Clark '23CC inked her first professional deal with Odense Boldklub Q of the Kvinde-DM Liga in Denmark this past Friday. Her contract will run until the summer of 2025.

"I am super happy to be in Denmark and in Odense, so far it has been an exciting acquaintance," Clark said in a statement on the team's website. "I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of OB Q and our ambitious goals."

Clark spent four seasons at Columbia before transferring to play at Colorado for the 2023 season. She played in nine games and scored two goals as a Buffalo. Clark becomes the first Columbia women's soccer player to play professionally since goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse '19CC.

"I am thrilled for Ally Clark signing her first pro contract," Columbia Women's Soccer Head Coach Tracey Bartholomew said. "From the moment I met Ally, I knew she had aspirations of playing at the highest level, and to see this dream become a reality is incredible."

Clark had a standout season with the Lions in 2021 as she earned First Team All-Ivy League status with a career-high 14 points in 16 starts. She ranked second on the team in goals (5) and assists (4). She was also credited with two game-winning goals as a junior as she earned Third Team All-East Region by the United Soccer Coaches.

"At Columbia, Ally was an elite athlete with outstanding pace and attacking abilities to help create goals for herself or her teammates," Bartholomew said. "She was focused and driven to prepare herself to play her best. Ally possessed the talent, and what set her apart was her commitment, daily habits and work rate to get better every day. Ally was also a fantastic leader and cared for everyone on the field and off. She is truly special and Columbia soccer is so proud of her. Odense Boldklub is getting an outstanding player and even better person. I can't wait to see her at the next level."
