PRINCETON, N.J. – The Columbia women's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in the 2024 Ivy League Tournament and will face No. 3 seed Brown in the semifinals Friday at 1 p.m. inside Princeton's Roberts Stadium.
Columbia (7-4-4, 5-1-1 Ivy) is back in the Ivy League Tournament for the second straight season after finishing second in the regular season Ivy League standings. Columbia made a run to the Ivy League Tournament Championship game last season after knocking off No. 14 Brown in the semifinals, 2-1.

LAST TIME OUT
Columbia came up short last Saturday against Princeton in a battle for the Ivy League regular season title. The Tigers scored on a free-kick goal in the 64
th minute and were able to hang on to take a 1-0 win.
The Lions were effective in limiting the Princeton attack in a scoreless first half. Columbia was able to limit Princeton to just four shots in the first 45 minutes. The Lions fired seven shots in the first half, putting two on goal.
Princeton controlled possession more during the second half and outshot Columbia, 9-6. The Tigers scored the lone goal of the day in the 64th minute when Pietra Tordin converted a free kick.
Sam Cohn led the Lions with three shots Saturday.
Sophia Cavaliere,
Charlyse Berry,
Maia Tabion and
Gabby Chan all registered two shots each.
THE LIONS AND BEARS MEET AGAIN
Columbia and Brown will meet for the second time this season for Friday's semifinal. This will be the fourth time the Lions and Bears have met in the past two seasons. The recent series sits at 1-1-1 with Columbia earning the most recent win last November in Providence.
Columbia played to a 1-1 draw against Brown earlier this season in Providence. Brown scored early as Ella Weil scored in the 14
th minute.
Sophia Cavaliere capitalized on a turnover and converted for the game-tying goal in the 65
th minute to help Columbia force the draw on the road against the Bears.
ALL-IVY LIONS
Five Lions were named to the All-Ivy League list released on Wednesday.
Courtney Ruedt was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year and was also a First Team All-Ivy selection.
Nata Ramirez,
Sophia Cavaliere and
Maia Tabion joined Ruedt on the First Team All-Ivy list.
Ania Prussak secured Second Team All-Ivy League Honors. Cavaliere was also named to the Academic All-Ivy League list.
