Track & Field Wraps Up UCONN Northeast Challenge and Larry Ellis Invite

Camylin Blake, Devon Davey, and Tess Darnell each win silver in Storrs
NEW YORK — The Columbia outdoor track & field team competed at the UCONN Northeast Challenge this weekend, while a group of student-athletes also competed at the Larry Ellis Invite hosted by Princeton.
Up in Connecticut, the women finished in 12th place with 23 points, while the men finished 16th with a score of 23.
The Lions collected three second place finishes at the meet, highlighted by Tess Darnell who placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.11. In addition, Camylin Blake took second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.76.
Devon Davey led the men with a second place finish in the 400m, clocking in at 47.35. The men's 4x100m relay squad also took second place with a time of 40.81.
Meanwhile, in Storrs, Phoebe Anderson had the highest placement for the Lions, finishing in third place in the 1,500m with a time of 4:20.13. Nikki Vanasse also had a great showing, taking fifth in the 800m after crossing the finish line at 2:06.17.
Brett Bishop, Edward Blaha, and Caleb Gartner paced the men with fifth place finishes in the 3,000m steeplechase, 5,000m, and 1,500m, respectively.
