NEW YORK —

TRACK AND FIELD
The track & field team is back in action this weekend, with two meets on tap. The Lions will be sending student-athletes to compete in both the Virginia Invitational in Charlottesville on both Friday and Saturday, and the Wake Forrest Invitational hosted in Winston Salem on Friday. The outdoor season is off to a good start for the Lions, and that success continued last weekend. Columbia collected three second place finishes at the Larry Ellis Invite, highlighted by
Tess Darnell who placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.11. In addition,
Camylin Blake took second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.76.
Devon Davey led the men with a second place finish in the 400m, clocking in at 47.35. Meanwhile, in Storrs at the UCONN Northeast Challenge,
Phoebe Anderson had the highest placement for the Lions, finishing in third place in the 1,500m with a time of 4:20.13. The Lions will look to keep up the momentum heading into this weekend.
