Cross Country and Track & Field Reveal New Schedules

Cross Country season begins on September 7 with Fordham Fiasco
NEW YORK — Columbia's Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Daniel Ireland has announced the 2024 cross country schedule, with the season-opening race set for Saturday, September 7 at the Fordham Fiasco in the Bronx.
In addition, the 2024-25 track & field schedule has been revealed, set to begin on December 6 with the Rutgers Holiday Classic at the Armory.
After the cross country season begins at Van Cortlandt Park with the meet hosted by Fordham, the Lions will compete in two meets the following weekend on Saturday, September 13. Part of the team wilk stay home to compete in the Iona Meet of Champs at VCP, while the rest of the team will travel to Penn State to take part in the Spiked Shoe Invitational.
The women's team will close out September at the Nuttycombe Invite hosted by Wisconsin on Friday, September 27.
October begins with a visit to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where Columbia will compete at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh. The race set is set for Saturday, October 5 at 9:30 a.m.
The Lions close out the cross country regular season competing at the METS Championships on Saturday, October 12 in New Jersey and the ECAC Championships on Friday, October 18 at VCP.
This year's Ivy League Heps will be hosted by Princeton in New Jersey. The biggest race of the season is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2.
The NCAA Northeast Regionals shift away from Van Cortlandt Park this season, and will be hosted in Hopkinton, New Hampshire on Friday, November 15.
The following weekend, the University of Wisconsin will play host to the NCAA Championships which will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 10:20 a.m.
The indoor track & field season is set to begin on Friday, December 6 with the Rutgers Holiday Classic. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Armory.
The Lions will host the annual Dr. Sander Invitational at the Armory on January 24 and January 25.
Columbia's furthest road trip of the indoor campaign will be to Boston for the BU Valentine Invitational on Friday, February 14 at 10 a.m.
The Ivy League Indoor Heps are set for March 1-2, and will be hosted by Cornell in Ithaca.
For any Lions who qualify, the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will also be held in Virginia on Friday, March 14.
The outdoor season will begin on Thursday, March 27 with the Raleigh Relays. The meet will begin at 4 p.m. in North Carolina.
Throughout April and the first weekend of May the Lions will compete in nine different meets, including the Hurrican Alumni Invite (April 4), the UConn Northeast Challenge (April 11), the Virginia Invitational (April 18), the Penn Relays (April 45), and two Yale Invites (April 19 & 27).
The Ivy League Outdoor Heps are set for Saturday, May 10 and will be hosted by Yale. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. in New Haven.
For any Lions who qualify, the NCAA Outdoor Prelims will be held on May 28 in Jacksonville, Florida and the NCAA Championships will take place on June 11 in Oregon.
