Columbia (0-2-3) is looking for its first win of the season in the matchup against Fordham (5-1-1). Columbia outshot FDU, 11-6 in the home opener last week, but ended in a scoreless draw with the Knights. The Lions then hit the road for a tough test against No. 2 North Carolina on Sunday. Columbia played tough against the Tar Heels but ultimately were defeated, 2-0.
Nata Ramirez leads the squad in goals scored (3) and points (6) as she has started all five games this season. All three of Ramirez's goals came during her hat trick performance against Tennessee Tech.
Lauren Rodriguez has earned five starts in the net, totaling 450 minutes. Rodriguez is credited with 11 saves this season.
Fordham enters Thursday's contest on a two-game win streak. The Rams rolled past Stonehill last Thursday, 4-0 before capping off the week with a 3-2 victory over Yale. Fordham's lone loss of the season came at the hands of Fairfield, 5-0.
Julia Acosta leads the Rams with five goals scored so far this season. She totaled three goals in two matches last week to be named the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week. Abby Borchers and Liina Tervo have also proved critical in the Fordham attack with four goals each. Tervo leads the squad in points (14) as she is credited with six assists to complement her four goals.
