Women's Soccer
The red hot Lions are back in action Saturday, looking for their straight Ivy victory to begin conference play. Columbia, unbeaten for the entire month of September spanning six matches, is coming off another thrilling, last-minute victory over the Brown Bears last Saturday. For the fourth consecutive game, Columbia found the decisive goal in the 76th minute or later. This time it was
Gabby Chan delivering the clutch strike in the 85th minute, slotting home inside the box off a feed from
Maia Beltran and
Sammie Moncion. This weekend, the Lions will square off against Dartmouth at 2 p.m. in New Hampshire. The Big Green are coming in hot, owning a 5-2-3 overall record, and also remain undefeated in Ivy League play at 1-0-1. Columbia has owned the head to head series matchup against Dartmouth, with the Big Green's last win coming in 2014. Stephanie Lathrop is off to an incredible start to the season, scoring six goals with three assists for a total of 15 points. The stage is set for a great contest on Saturday.

Men's Soccer
The men's soccer team (1-3-3, 0-0-1 Ivy) plays its first road game of the Ivy League season on Saturday at Yale (0-6-2, 0-1-0 Ivy). Columbia is coming off a 2-2 draw in its Ivy League opener this past Sunday at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
Jack McDaid scored the game's opening goal in the 13th minute before Penn tied it up eight minutes later. The Quakers scored early in the second half but the Lions found the equalizer with 20 minutes remaining courtesy of
Alessandro Franciosa. With the draw, the Lions kept their unbeaten record at home intact (1-0-2). McDaid was later named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, having also scored a goal earlier in the week at Hofstra. Yale is coming off a 3-1 loss in its Ivy opener at Cornell. The Bulldogs are still in search of their first win of the season but have come away with two draws against Quinnipiac and UMass. It's been a rough stretch that has only seen Yale score six goals over its first eight matches while allowing 16. Last season, the Lions came away with a 1-0 victory over Yale in New York.
Jackson ten Oever scored the game's only goal in 81st minute, which was also his first career goal.

The women's golf team wraps up its fall schedule this Saturday and Sunday at the Princeton Invitational. The Lions have had a successful fall to date, finishing third at the season-opening Battle at the Creek, second at the Red Bandanna Invitational, and setting a new team single-round record against some of the nation's top programs at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. The single-round record was a 2-under-par 286, which included a 3-under 69 by
Christine Chang, a pair of 71s from sophomore
Sarah Shao and first year
Camille Thai, and a pair of 75s from first year
