Women's Swimming & Diving Opens 2025-26 Season on Friday at Uris Natatorium

Lions will host NYU at 5 p.m.
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's swimming and diving program will open the 2025-26 season on Friday at Percy Uris Natatorium. The Lions will square off in a dual meet against the NYU Violets that is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
Spectators without a valid Columbia University ID or a registered QR code must enter the Uris Swim Center Balcony through the Northwest Corner Building at W120th & Broadway.
LAST SEASON
The women finished the 2024-25 season with a 2-5 overall record in dual meets, all of which were Ivy League contests, with wins over Cornell and Dartmouth. The Lady Lions would go on to finish in sixth place at the Ivy League Championships.
NEW FACES
The Columbia women welcomed nine new faces ahead of the 2025-26 season. To meet each new individual, click HERE.
EVENT ORDER
The order of events for the women's meet: 3M diving, 200 medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 1M diving, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly - 10-minute break - 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle relay
SCOUTING NYU
The NYU women finished last season with an overall record of 5-1, which included a win over Fordham to begin the season. The Violets would go on to finish second at both the UAA and NCAA Division III Championships. NYU opened up 2025-26 with a 184-53 win over West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and will look to continue its momentum from last season.
