
Women’s Tennis Announces 2026 Slate

The Lions open the spring season on January 19 against LIU
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's tennis team is pleased to announce its spring slate of matches for the 2025-26 campaign. The Lions will play 11 home matches, including four against Ivy League foes.
The Lions will once again play a balanced schedule that will challenge them and prepare them for Ivy League play. Columbia will play eight teams that advanced to the postseason in 2025, including five that were in the NCAA Tournament - North Carolina, FDU, FIU, Memphis, and Harvard.
Additionally, Columbia will play 11 teams that finished 2025 ranked in the top 75 of the ITA final rankings. The opponents include: No. 4 North Carolina, No. 49 Charlotte, No. 55 Penn State, No. 57 Memphis, No. 61 FIU, No. 62 Purdue, No. 68 Michigan State, No. 69 Yale, No. 73 Harvard, No. 74 Princeton, and No. 75 Marshall.
The Lions open up the spring slate on Monday, January 19, when LIU comes to the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center. The Lions will then travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to play the Tar Heels on January 24. They wrap up their time in North Carolina with a date against either Penn State or Charlotte on January 25. Columbia wraps up January with a home contest against the Boilermakers on January 31 at 1 p.m. at the Milstein Tennis Center.
The Lions will once again compete in the ECAC Championships February 6-8 in Princeton, N.J. Columbia will then host Michigan State (February 14) and FDU (February 25) before traveling to Memphis, Tenn., to take on Memphis on February 28.
The Lions will wrap up their non-conference slate with a doubleheader against Marshall and Wagner at home on February 6. On February 8, they will host NJIT in their final non-conference home contest. On February 18, they will travel to Miami, Fla., to take on FIU.
Columbia opens Ivy League play with four consecutive home dates. Up first for the Lions is Cornell on Feb. 28 at noon. Brown (April 4), Yale (April 5), and Pen (April 10) are all slated for a 1 p.m. first serve.
The Lions wrap up the regular season on the road, starting with a trip to Princeton, N.J., where they will take on the Tigers on April 12. The season concludes with dates at Harvard (April 18) and Dartmouth (April 19).
