Will Parkinson Named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List

The left-handed reliever recorded 49 strikeouts over 30.1 innings pitched in 2024
DALLAS — Columbia baseball's Will Parkinson has been named to the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Watch List, the association announced on Wednesday.
Parkinson appeared in 10 games in 2024 and made one start on the mound. The Tampa, Florida native tallied two saves (April 13 vs. Yale and April 27 at Cornell). Parkinson struck out a career-high eight batters twice (March 22 vs. Harvard and April 7 at Dartmouth).
Parkinson had four appearances in which he didn't allow an earned run. He held his opponents to a .228 batting average.
Columbia opens the 2025 season on Feb. 21 at Kennesaw State.
