NEW YORK — Columbia baseball hosts Brown this weekend to open Ivy League play from Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. The first pitch in Saturday's doubleheader is set for 11:30 a.m., with Sunday's series finale scheduled for 12 p.m.
Columbia has won 10 straight home openers going back to 2013. The Lions are 12-5 in home openers in the Brett Boretti era. Columbia is 40-9 at home over the last three seasons.
"It's been a very challenging early season on the road, but I know the guys are excited about being back home and ready to open up the Ivy League season," Boretti said.
All three games this weekend are being broadcasted on ESPN+ with Ryan Young on the call.

Since 2012, Columbia leads the Ivy League with 152 conference wins, 11 wins over ranked opponents, six NCAA Tournament wins, and six Ivy League Championships. In that span, the Lions have also produced 12 Major League Baseball Draft selections and have had 18 players in MLB organizations.

Anton Lazits, Ben Fishel, and Sam Miller are all off to fast starts in 2025 and are anchoring the Lions' lineup.
Lazits and Fishel each enter the weekend with a six-game hitting streak. Lazits leads the Ivy League in RBIs (19) and ranks second in slugging percentage (.731), runs scored (16), and walks (12). He is the Ieague leader with seven home runs. The Pittsfield, Massachusetts native has homered in four straight games.
Among conference hitters, Fishel ranks in the top five in batting average and on-base percentage. Miller is also top five in hits, home runs, and RBIs.
Preseason National Recognition
Griffin Palfrey was named to the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division I Preseason All-America Third Team as a utility player.
Will Parkinson was named to the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Watch List.

Columbia is 75-63-1 all-time against the Bears and swept last season's series in Providence, R.I.
Preseason Polls
Columbia was tabbed to finish first in the 2025 Ivy League Preseason Poll and received all 16 first place votes, as voted on by eight sports information directors and eight media members from around the league. The Lions have never been picked to finish worse than third in the Ivy League Baseball Preseason Poll.
D1 Baseball's Eric Sorenson also projected the Lions to finish first in the Ivy League standings.
