NEW YORK —
Columbia baseball, archery, track & field, heavyweight rowing, women's rowing, and lacrosse are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will be using "Lions on the Road" to preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.
Baseball
The Lions (18-16) have four games on the slate, beginning with a trip to Long Island to face Stony Brook on Wednesday afternoon to wrap up non-conference play. The Seawolves (20-16) are coming off a three-game sweep of Hofstra. Over the weekend, Columbia will head to Philadelphia for a key three-game set against Penn (17-14) in a battle for first place in the Ivy League standings. Both squads come into the series at 11-4 in conference play with six games to play. Columbia has won five-straight and saw a pair of individuals recognized. Senior outfielder
Anton Lazits earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors Monday and senior
Griffin Palfrey picked up the John Olerud National Two-Way Player of the Week Award on Tuesday.
Archery
The archery team takes aim at USA Archery Collegiate Target Regionals this weekend. The two-day event takes place Saturday and Sunday at the UREC Turf Field on the campus of James Madison University. The Qualification Rounds in the 70m Recurve and 50m Compound begin Saturday at 8 a.m. ET. Columbia will be sending juniors

Briana Moore to compete in the compound. Six will shoot in the recurve, which include senior
Judith Gottlieb, junior
Lillian Han, sophomores
Eunice Choi and
Michelle Ahn, and first-years

Derek Davis will select three from recurve to take part in the team competition. All nine archers will be entered into the individual competition.
Following Saturday's qualification rounds and mixed team rounds, the individual elimination rounds will take place on Sunday at 8 a.m. ET. Team rounds are scheduled for 1 p.m., concluding with the awards ceremony at approximately 3 p.m.

Track & Field
All attention this weekend will be turned towards the Penn Relays for the track & field team. After a busy last few weeks which culminated in a three-meet slate last weekend, the Lions are coming into the Penn Relays hot after some awesome performances. At the Mark Young Invitational,
Obiora Okeke won the shot put, discus, and hammer, including a new school record mark of 18.76m in shot put.
Seraiah Bruno won the pole vault with a program record mark of 3.85m.
Madison Williams had a new top Columbia mark in the long jump at 6.17m at the Virginia Challenge. The Lions will look to keep up the momentum this weekend in Philadelphia. The meet begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Heavyweight Rowing
The Columbia heavyweight rowing team travels to Hanover, N.H. this weekend for the Lake Morey Invite hosted by Dartmouth. Along with the Big Green, the Lions will race with Syracuse, Boston U, Wisconsin, and Georgetown. The heavyweights were in action last Saturday at the Blackwell Cup Regatta, competing against Yale and Penn in Philadelphia. The Lions placed third in a pair of races at the Schuylkill River.

Women's Rowing
The Columbia women's rowing team travels to Durham, N.C. this weekend for the Wheeler Invite. Boston College, Boston U, Bucknell, Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Jacksonville , Kansas, Louisville, Miami, US Naval Academy, Tulsa, Rhode Island, UVA, North Carolina - Chapel Hill, and Washington State are all set to race. On April 12, women's varsity eight came up victorious for the second straight week after topping Northeastern to retain the Woodbury Cup. The women battled through less than ideal conditions on the Charles River to win four of five races on the day against the Huskies and Boston University.

Lacrosse
The Columbia lacrosse team will close out the 2025 season on Saturday with an Ivy League game against #24 Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. First draw is set for 1 p.m. The Lions are coming off a 13-6 loss to Dartmouth on Saturday. On Senior Day, it was first year
Maddie Brogan leading the way with a second consecutive hat trick. Heading into the season finale, the Crimson are 7-6 overall and 2-4 in the Ivy League. Harvard has lost two in a row, with its most recent win coming over #14 Penn. The Crimson will take on New Hampsire in a midweek contest prior to Saturday's game against the Lions. Last year, Harvard beat Columbia 24-5 in New York City.
Dani Falcone is four draw controls away from claiming the third spot on Columbia's all-time list to finish her career.
