The Lions look to stay undefeated on the young season
NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey hosts Fairfield on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Columbia Field Hockey Complex before traveling to Quinnipiac on Sunday for a 12 p.m. matchup.

Last Time Out
Columbia swept the opening weekend of the season, picking up a pair of wins at No. 18 UAlbany and against LIU. The win over the Great Danes was Columbia's first over a ranked opponent since 2019. The Lions are 2-0 to start the season for the first time since 2021.

Columbia's six goals have come from the sticks of five different players. Jacinta Solari Etcheberry leads the team with two goals, while Mckenzie Bloom, Lizzie Adams, Izzy Kaczor, and Maya Raphael have all found the back of the cage once.
Houle Impresses
Goalkeeper Margot Houle has won her first two career starts. The sophomore from Potomac, Maryland, has recorded eight saves and allowed just two goals this season. Houle earned her first career shutout in last Friday's season-opening upset win at No. 18 UAlbany.
