The Lions look to snap a two-game losing streak
NEW YORK — Columbia field hockey hosts Brown on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Columbia Field Hockey Complex before visiting No. 19 Rutgers on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Friday's matchup between the Lions (3-2, 0-1) and Bears (2-3, 0-1) can be followed via live stats or watched live on ESPN+. Sunday's matchup between the Lions and Scarlet Knights (4-4) can be followed via live stats or watched live on BTN+.
Last Time Out
Columbia dropped its second straight match last Friday in its Ivy League opener to Cornell at home, 5-2. The Lions went down 4-0 in the first quarter but cut into the deficit when Jacinta Solari Etcheberry scored off a penalty corner 8:45 into the third quarter. Sophia Abate was credited with the assist. Cornell added an insurance goal before Abate found the back of the cage for Columbia's second goal in the fourth period.
Spreading the Wealth
Columbia's 13 goals this season have come from the sticks of eight different players. Jacinta Solari Etcheberry leads the team with four goals, while Izzy Kaczor and Sophia Abate have two, with Mckenzie Bloom, Lizzie Adams, Ashley Kim, Maya Raphael, and Agustina Solari Etcheberry having all found the back of the cage once.
Houle Impresses
Goalkeeper Margot Houle won her first three career starts. The sophomore from Potomac, Maryland, has recorded 29 saves this season, which ranks second among Ivy League goalkeepers. Houle earned her first career shutout in Sept. 5's season-opening upset win at No. 18 UAlbany.

Columbia is 14-13 all-time against the Bears and has lost two straight in the series.

Columbia is 3-7 all-time against the Scarlet Knights. The two teams will meet for just the second time since 2012.
