Field Hockey
The Lions (3-3, 0-1) travel to Brown on Friday for a 1:30 p.m. matchup before hosting Monmouth on Sunday at 1 p.m for the Morgan's Message Match. A full weekend preview will be available on gocolumbialions.com later this week.

Volleyball
Volleyball begins Ivy League play on Saturday when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y., to take on the Big Red. Columbia enters this week with a 6-3 overall record after going 1-2 last weekend at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational. At 6-3, the Lions are off to their best start since 2019 and sit fourth in the Ivy League standings. First-year outside hitter Alexia Cornea had a strong weekend at the Purdue Fort Wayne Tournament. The native of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, led the Lions with 35 kills, averaging 2.92 kills per set while hitting .291. She earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational. Junior setter Clara Yu notched her 23rd ace in the tournament finale against Stonehill last Saturday. Her 23 aces this season make her 10 shy of cracking Columbia's single-season top-10. Saturday's meeting against the Big Red will be the 73rd meeting between the two teams. All-time, Cornell owns a 58-14 advantage in the series that began in 1983.

Men's Tennis
The Columbia men's tennis team makes its fall debut this weekend when they participate in the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Yale at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn. The three day event begins on Friday and concludes on Sunday.

Men's Golf
The men's golf team competes in its second tournament of the fall season, making the short trip to New Haven, Connecticut, for the 48th Macdonald Cup. The event, hosted by Yale, takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Yale Golf Course. This year's field features the Lions, Princeton, Loyola Maryland, Seton Hall, Cornell, Harvard, Brown, Dartmouth, Davidson, Penn and the host Bulldogs. Tee times and lineups will be available on the College Golf Scoreboard, powered by Clippd, once they become available.
Columbia is coming off its first fall tournament two weeks ago, finishing eighth in the 14-team Doc Gimmler at Bethpage Red. First-year Tom Yu turned in a two-round score of 1-over-par 141 to earn a top-15 finish in his collegiate debut. Sunday's final round was canceled due to heavy rains and standing water on the course. Results from Saturday's first two rounds were marked as final.

Women's Golf
The women's golf team gets set to take on a field of 13 teams this Saturday and Sunday in the Princeton Invitational. The annual tournament is hosted by Princeton at Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, New Jersey. This year's field features 13 teams, including the Lions, Brown, Dartmouth, Rutgers, Penn, Boston University, Seton Hall, Yale, UAlbany, Harvard, Georgetown, Princeton, St. John's and the host Tigers. Tee times and lineups will be available on the College Golf Scoreboard, powered by Clippd, once they become available.
Columbia is coming off an impressive showing to begin the fall season, finishing second two weeks ago at the Bucknell Fall Invitational. In doing so, the Lions broke the program record for low 54-hole team total, posting a three-round total of 862 (+22) at Bucknell Golf Club. Seven Lions finished in the top 20 with five in the top 10, spearheaded by sophomore Kristina Xu's runner-up finish. She posted a tournament total of 2-over-par 212, including a final-round 67.

Cross Country
After a two-week break, Columbia cross country returns to action Saturday at the Princeton XC Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey. The Lions opened their 2026 campaign with a strong showing against Manhattan at Van Cortlandt Park. The men claimed the first five positions in the 6,000-meter race, with Brady Hill, Trent Thibault, Henry Koike-Sieira, Liam Hanemann and Quentin Ryan crossing the finish line together in 20:48. On the women's side, Olivia Murray and Ava Malagisi led Columbia with matching times of 15:54 in the 4,000-meter race as the Lions placed five runners among the top seven.

Women's Soccer
Columbia women's soccer opens Ivy League play on Saturday, traveling to Rhode Island to take on Brown at noon at Stevenson-Pincince Field. The Lions enter conference play with a 1-5-3 record after a 2-1 loss at Delaware on Sunday. Columbia took an early 1-0 lead on a snipe from Gabby Chan in this one, but the Blue Hens clawed back late to earn the victory. Brown enters the weekend at 6-2-1 and has won two straight, including a 4-0 victory over Providence in its most recent match. Angelina Vargas leads the Bears with five goals and 10 points, while Joy Okonye has a team-high five assists to go along with two goals. Columbia earned a 2-1 victory over Brown last season at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium, with Chan scoring the game-winner in the 85th minute. Saturday's matchup marks the beginning of a seven-game Ivy League slate for the Lions.
