MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. - Senior Nasreen Bakht claimed the silver medal in the women's recurve Olympic rounds at the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships. Overall, the team finished 11th, scoring 271 points.

Bakht started the Olympic rounds with a bye after finishing 9th in the qualifying rounds. Her first opponent was teammate Kate Krieger, who she defeated 148-112. Next she took on Ginamarie Chiechi and won 147-134. Up next was another teammate, All-American Stephanie Miller. Miller finished the qualifying rounds in first place after coming back from a 25-point deficit. Bakht was the victor, winning 105-100. In the semi-final round, Bakht faced Lindsey Carmichael, the eventual bronze medal winner, taking the round 102-98. In the gold medal match-up, Bakht faced All-American Kate Anderson of UCLA, who won the round 93-88. With her second-place finish, Bakht earned the Golden Arrow award.

With a score of 271, Columbia finished 11th of 33 teams, a great accomplishment with having only a women's team in the tournament.
