2007-08 Season: You cannot accomplish much more than Margot Stuchin did in her first college archery season ... shot a sizzling 1114 at the Indoor Regionals/Nationals in March, the best mark by any collegian in the nation and region ... the score placed third among all Women’s Recurve archers in the nation, behind only Olympian Jennifer Nichols (1156) and ex-Columbia All-American Stephanie Miller (1138) ... capped her initial season when she won the Women’s Recurve individual championship at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships, beating her All-American teammate, Sara Mancini, 92-77 in the semifinals and then topping Annette Gorelik of Harvey Mudd College, 97-83 for the gold medal ... shot a personal-best 639 to lead all qualifiers at the 70-Meter Challenge in Montreal ... took the gold medal at the Big Apple FITA with a 560 and silver at season-opening Eastern Seaboard FITA with a 546, two off the gold ... All-American and All-East ... earned Columbia’s Women’s Archery Award, a rare honor for a first-year student.
