Daniel Rosenblum was hired as an athletic trainer at Columbia University in September 2018. He works year-round with the Lions’ softball and women’s soccer teams.
Rosenblum arrived at Columbia after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Virginia, where he worked primarily with the Cavaliers’ baseball team. In addition to his duties, he provided coverage to youth sports camps and taught monthly in-service lessons to undergraduate kinesiology students.
Rosenblum earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Vermont in 2017. As an undergraduate trainer, he was the recipient of the school’s 2017 Exceptional Senior Award, 2016 Future Professional Award, 2017 Vermont Association of Athletic Trainers’ Scholarship and was selected to the UVM Undergraduate Student Leadership Team. He also worked with Vermont’s field hockey, track and field, rugby, ice hockey and football teams.
He went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training from the University of Virginia in June 2018. He was a recipient of the David H. Perrin Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Award.
A Stamford, Conn. native and current resident, Rosenblum is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association.
