Coach Mangurian on Bruce Grant: Bruce has played running back and wide receiver since he has been here. He has obvious strengths and he probably has the best straight-line speed of anyone on our team. Hands are average, but not from lack of effort. Has had some injury problems. Durability in a running back is paramount. Will work at running back this spring. Has gotten bigger and stronger by working hard this off-season. We need to find a way for him to contribute. May get some work in the secondary.

At Fordham Prep: Team captain as a senior ... over 3,500 all-purpose yards in two varsity seasons ... also scored 25 touchdowns ... team MVP in 2009 ... Offensive Player of the Year in 2008 ... named to All-Bronx first team as junior and senior ... rushed for 288 yards and three second-half touchdowns in 41-28 win over Xavier in the Turkey Bowl ... New York Post All-City second-team selection ... named CHSAA Player of the Week three times ... two-time All-American in track and field ... part of national championship shuttle-hurdle relay team.
