When Lauren is playing her best tennis, she can beat anyone. Lauren has an all-court game. She is equally good on offense and
defense.
Spring 2007: Went 3-4 in Ivy League play ... defeated Harvard’s Elizabeth Brook 6/3, 6/3 at the four spot ... defeated Brown’s Alexa Baggio 2/6, 6/2,7/6 at the four spot ... went 3-1 with doubles partner Sydney Murray and 2-2 with partner Allison Cordell ... Shearer and Cordell defeated Harvard’s Curto and Forgie and Penn’s Lostritto and Koulbitskaya 8-6 and 8-4, respectively.
2006: Went 9-5 overall in singles and 1-3 in doubles ... garnered five wins at #4.
Fall 2005: Jumped right into the lineup for Columbia at No. 2 and No. 3 singles ... won the Flight “B” consolation doubles bracket of the Cornell Invitational.
At Campbell Hall: Earned four letters at Campbell Hall, three in tennis and one in track and field ... played tennis as a freshman, junior and senior ... studied at a tennis academy as a sophomore ... won the CIF championship as a junior in an undefeated season ... lost only one match as a senior and repeated as the CIF champion ... three-time Dolphin League Champion ...ranked top 40 in the nation in singles as a junior.
