Best advice you have ever received: Don't be content with mediocrity. Be the best at whatever you do.
What's the best part about playing at Columbia: The relationships you develop. When you go out on the court you realize you aren't just battling it out for yourself. You are winning for your team, your school and all the people that support you starting from the administration all the way down to every single fan (including those that don't even know a single thing about the sport).
Describe your sport in three words: Mental, physical and mental.
Best win at Columbia: Defeating No. 53 ranked Dartmouth 4-3 last year. It was more than just getting the "W" and our first/only win of our 2007 Ivy Season. First off, its a great feeling when you prove everyone wrong and win against the odds. After I won, (Assistant Coach)Manisha swept me off my feet and gave me a huge hug. She knew how much it meant for me to pull out a tight match against this opponent who defeated me 6-1, 6-0 only six months prior to this second meeting. Then to hear Lauren's voice echo mine with a "comeee on" only a few minutes after I walked off the court, to see senior, Milena turn her match around and pull it out for us and Coach Rob's reaction of jubilation, certainly has to make it the best win since I've been apart of this team.
If you were in a talent show, what would your talent be: Juggle. Tennis balls of course.
