Why Columbia? Why not? Best city in the US, best training available for my sport, and one of the best places for academics in the world

Nickname: I have a lot

What advice would you give future Columbia teammates? Take one less class during the season, make sure you get adjusted before taking too many classes

If you didn't fence, you would: Play soccer, perhaps? Or do martial arts.

If you could attend any sporting event in the world, what would it be? The World Cup of soccer, probably.

After graduation, if you could do anything, what would you do? Maybe make a run for the Olympics and just train for the next four years.

My most prized possession is: I have no particular prized possession, but I guess maybe my grandfather's ring.

In ten years, I'll be: Finally done with grad school. And hopefully have a job doing what I want to do.

Favorite thing about Columbia Fencing: The team.

Favorite moment in a match/meet: Beating Harvard and Penn. Singing the Columbia fight song after winning Ivies. Having 16 All-Ivy fencers and having a Columbia Fencer at the top of every category.

Favorite author: Oliver Sacks or Orwell.

Favorite movie: Tough one. Maybe Shawshank Redemption.

Favorite quote: Not one in particular, but this one is good: "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move." ? Douglas Adams

Little known fact: Fencing is an incredibly intense sport, both physically and mentally.
