COLUMBIA'S STATUS
Columbia extended its win-streak to five after a 3-1 triumph over Dartmouth on Senior Day last Saturday. The Lions scored three goals in the first half and used stellar defensive play in the second half to come away with the victory and their eighth home win of the year, tying a school record.

Heading into the weekend, the Lions sit tied for first place with Cornell and Princeton in the Ivy League standings. The Big Red and Tigers face off in Ithaca this weekend.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale has lost five-straight and is in search of its first Ivy League win of the season. The Bulldogs are averaging just 1.2 goals per game and have scored two goals or less in all but one of their games this season.

Despite a 15-3 record in the all-time series, the last 10 meetings between the teams have been tight affairs, all decided by two goals or less and with five contests going to overtime.

A LOOK BACK... YALE
Yale won last year's meeting, 3-1, in a game that featured 27 combined shots on goal. The Bulldogs scored once in the first half and tacked on a pair of insurance goals just two minutes apart in the second half to go ahead 3-0 before an Anna Scipioni penalty stroke goal broke up the shutout bid. Marlee Silverstein made a career-high 12 saves in the contest.

COMEBACK KIDS
During its five-game winning streak, Columbia has had to come from behind four times. The Lions trailed by one in their contests against Towson, Penn (twice) and Delaware and erased a two-goal deficit against UMass.

TO THE POINT
Christina Freibott's stellar junior campaign continues to get better. With her goal and assist performance against Dartmouth on Oct. 26, she tied the program's single-season record of 36 points, previously set by Nikki Campbell in 2000. Her 2.40 points per game also has her ranked first in the Ivy League and seventh in the NCAA.

PIANUCCI STEPS UP
Junior goalkeeper Kimberly Pianucci was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week after making a season-high nine saves in Columbia's 3-1 win over Dartmouth Oct. 26. Earlier in the season, she stood on her proverbial head on Sep. 13-14 in a pair of wins for the Lions. Against Villanova, she made seven saves and was outstanding, making eight sprawling saves, against Fairfield in another Columbia triumph. Pianucci has made the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll three times in 2014.

FREIBOTT'S STREAK
Junior Christina Freibott is riding a nine-game point scoring streak and has only been held off the scoresheet twice this season (UConn and Providence). She has been named Ivy League Player of the Week twice in October and was featured in Oct. 20's Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd.

'HART' OF THE MATTER
After a strong start but not finding her name in the score sheet often, first-year midfielder Whitney Hartstone is being rewarded for her strong play. She came up with the game-winner 19 seconds into overtime to complete a 4-3 comeback win at Penn. Against Towson on Oct. 10, her hard work was rewarded with a pair of goals in the 5-3 triumph for her first multi-point game of her career.  Hartstone has scored in three of her last five games.

HOME SWEET HOME
With a 8-1 record at the Baker Athletics Complex, the Lions' have tied the program record for most home wins in a season. Columbia went a perfect 8-0 at home in 2007 and was 7-3 in 2000.

DO YOU NEED ASSISTANCE?
Freibott's 20 assists lead the Ivy League and her 1.33 average per game put her first in the nation. Freibott has tied the school's single-game record with three dimes on three occasions this season and four times in her career. She is five away from the single-season Ivy League record of 25, currently held by Princeton's Kirsty Hale.

SKUDALSKI 'SAVES' THE DAY
Senior back Lauren Skudalski's 10 defensive saves this season are tied for first in the nation. Skudalski posted stops in four-straight games from Sep. 24-Oct. 3. For her career, she has 23, which is a program record, dating back to 2002.
