NEW YORK – The Columbia heavyweights will look to build upon its opening weekend win when they face Dartmouth, Holy Cross and MIT at the Alumni Cup regatta this weekend on Lake Quinsigamond.
The No. 13 Lions topped Rutgers by 16 seconds to reclaim the Collins Cup on March 26.
Dartmouth is ranked No. 11 in the USRowing poll and its varsity eight took first out of 18 boats at last weekend's Green Monster Regatta in Hanover. MIT competed against the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on March 26, but this will mark the first official race against a college crew. Holy Cross will be making its spring debut in Worcester.
The Lions finished second of the four crews in last year's event.
