Pushner and Millar Earn Spots on 2025 World Rowing Under-23 Championships Roster

The Columbia duo returns from last year’s squad

NEW YORK — Columbia heavyweight rowers Adam Pushner '26CC and Colton Millar '27CC have made the roster of the 2025 Under-23 National Teams, which will represent the United States in Poznan, Poland, from July 23-27.

Pushner and Millar competed in the men's pair and won the time trial race at 6:29.97 last Thursday. In the final on Friday, Pushner and Millar cruised to victory with a time of 7:09.90. U23 Trials occurred on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey.

The Lions duo set the American best time in a men's pair at last year's U23 World Championships and finished fifth overall.

"I'm really proud of the work these guys have put in over the past two years," Director of Rowing Tom Terhaar said. "They've trained consistently, are always up for a challenge, and have a great attitude with an expectation to win. Adam and Colton are tough competitors and are raising the bar at Columbia. Making the team is always harder the second time around, but they handled it well with great coaching from Andrew Hess."

About the Championships:
The top event of the year for the Under 23 rowers in the 'Classic Discipline' is the World Rowing Under 23 Championships (WRU23CH). The Championships usually attract up to 1000 rowers from around the world.
