
Volleyball Suffers Setbacks to Georgetown and The Citadel

WASHINGTON — The Columbia volleyball team came up on the wrong end of its final two matches at the Service Academy Challenge on Saturday. The Lions lost a three-setter in the morning to Georgetown (21-25, 22-25, 17-25) before closing out the weekend with a narrow five-set loss to The Citadel (21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 27-29, 9-15).
Columbia moves to 1-2 on the season. Match details and statistics will be posted as they become available.

The Lions return to action next weekend at the Art Carmichael Inviational in Kingston, Rhode Island. Columbia is slated for matches against Marist, Northeastern and Rhode Island.
