NEW YORK – The Columbia men's soccer team looks to rebound against Dartmouth during a home match this Friday at 5:00 p.m. on ESPNU.

LAST TIME OUT
A second half comeback fell short last Saturday, when Columbia fell to Princeton, 2-1.

The game started off strong for Princeton, with goals from Sean McSherry in the 16th minute followed by Jeremy Colvin in the 29th. Columbia's defense tightened from there onward, not allowing any further damage. First-year Andrew Stevens scored his first goal of the season in the 61st minute, giving the Lions hope until the final whistle. In the closing seconds, sophomore defender Blake Willis took a shot that hit the inside of the post with only four seconds to play, but it managed to bounce away, securing a Princeton's victory.

SEASON AT A GLANCE
Columbia will come into this game with a record of 5-4-1 overall and 2-1 in Ivy League play. Thanks to the Tigers victory, they sit alone atop the Ancient Eight standings with a 2-0-1 record (7-4-2 overall) and seven points. The Lions currently are tied with Cornell at 2-1 (six points), while Dartmouth is one point behind at 1-0-2.

This weekend, the Ivy League leaders host Harvard (3-9, 1-2 Ivy) in a home game at Princeton on Saturday, while Cornell (9-3, 2-1) heads to Brown (7-5, 1-2), and Penn (2-4-4, 0-3) faces Yale (6-4-2, 1-1-1).

SERIES HISTORY
The Big Green hold an edge in the series history with a 30-22-7 career record against the Lions. Columbia's last victory in the series came in 2013 on the road, as Dartmouth has been victorious in the previous four meetings.

ABOUT DARTMOUTH
Although the Big Green dropped their first three matches of the season, two of the losses came against teams in the top-25. After going 0-3-3 in their first six matches, Dartmouth has yet to drop another contest, posting a 4-0-3 mark over its past seven. On Tuesday against Lehigh, both teams were unable to find the net, as the Mountain Hawks left Hanover with a 0-0 draw in double overtime.

Sophomore forward Tiger Graham leads Dartmouth with four goals in 2018, followed by fellow sophomore Dawson McCartney and senior Justin Donawa who each have two goals to their credit. Goalkeeper Henry Stusnick is the Ivy League leader in save percentage at 0.840, posting a 2-2-2 record this year.

UP NEXT
Columbia will finish up their homestand against Rutgers on Tuesday, Oct. 23, then hit the road to play Yale in New Haven on Saturday, Oct. 27th. Both matches can be seen live on ESPN+.
