Lions Close Out 2018 at No. 6 Harvard Saturday

Columbia goes to Cambridge in search of an upset and finishing above .500 for the 10th time in the last 12 years.
NEWS/NOTES
• The Lions will try to finish a season above .500 for the 10th time in the last 12 years when they head to No. 6 Harvard Saturday.
• Columbia snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart Sunday afternoon. Katherine Cavanaugh and Danielle Buttinger scored and Katie Dempsey earned the win on their Senior Day and all five members of the Class of 2019 were in the starting lineup against the Pioneers.
• After not having a game decided by shootout, the Lions have been involved in two contests this season. Columbia topped Fairfield, 5-4, by outscoring the Stags 3-2 in strokes Oct. 14 and fell at Yale, 2-1, Oct. 27 in the skills competition after the Bulldogs first two shooters scored and the Lions were kept off the board. The Lions are 2-3 all-time in games that go to a shootout.
• Columbia is 6-15 all-time against Harvard and have dropped five-straight in the series. Last year, the Crimson earned a 5-0 victory at the Baker Athletics Complex.
SCOUTING HARVARD
• The Crimson have locked up at least a share of the Ivy League title and secured the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by virtue of head-to-head victories against Princeton and Penn (both 5-1 in Ivy play).
• Harvard has won 12 games in a row and its only loss was a 3-1 defeat at then No. 3 Maryland on Sep. 9.
• The Crimson are averaging 3.56 goals per game and surrendering just 0.88, both lead the Ancient Eight and are top-five in the NCAA.
• Maddie Earle paces the squad with 14 goals and 31 points. Casey Allen has an Ivy League-high 11 assists.
• In goal, Ellie Shahbo has a GAA of 0.60 and save percentage of .786. She also has three shutouts to her name.
