NEW YORK- The Lion's fencing season continues tomorrow, as the team heads to NYU for the Top of the Park Clash. This meet takes place in the Rosenthal Pavilion in the Kimmel Center at NYU, lined with windows that overlook Washington Square Park in New York City.
The dual meet was conceived by Columbia head coach
Michael Aufrichtig and NYU head coach Steve Mormando after attending an event at the Rosenthal Pavilion in 2016. The meet holds significance for Coach Aufrichtig, as he is a '94 graduate of NYU and was a fencer for the program.
This week is busy for Columbia fencing. After tomorrow's NYU dual meet, the Lions prepare for the Columbia Invitational on Friday. Johns Hopkins, NJIT and Stevens will be heading to Dodge Fitness Center to face the Lions at 5:00 p.m.
