Wasserman Set To Run At NCAA Indoor National Championships

Columbia Track & Field senior Katie Wasserman will run the one-mile at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After qualifying for the One-Mile Run, thanks to a solid time run during the season, Columbia Track & Field senior Katie Wasserman is set to compete in the NCAA Track & Field Indoor National Championships, scheduled to get running on Friday, Mar. 13 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Lion senior becomes the 10th Lion woman to qualify for the NCAA Indoor National Championships since 2002, and the last since Sarah Hardie ran the mile in 2018. Along with Hardie, Wasserman becomes the second Lion woman to run the one-mile at the NCAA Indoor National Championships since 2002.
Wasserman finished third in the one-mile at the Ivy League Indoor Heps, clocking a time of 4:49.17, but she had already set a solid time earlier in the year at the Camel City Invitational on Feb. 8. While at the Camel City Invite, Wasserman ran an adjusted time of 4:37.55 which at the end of the season gave her the 16th best time in the country which qualified her for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships set to go at Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday, Mar. 13.
