Below are five facts Columbia fans should know heading into the weekend.
Â
Â
#1 | TEAM STATUS
Columbia is coming off a 3-0 loss at Princeton last Saturday. The Tigers put away two second-half goals to pull away. The Lions enter the fourth Ivy League contest of the season with one point so far and are taking on the only team in the league that has yet to secure a point.
Â
Â
#2 | IN GOOD HANDS
Junior goalkeeper
Michael Collodi ranks among the top of the NCAA in several save categories. Entering the weekend, he is No. 15 in save percentage (.804), No. 31 in saves per game (4.50) and No. 50 in total saves (45). His save numbers all also rank among the best in the Ivy League, including No. 1 in save percentage.
Â
Â
#3 | ROAD BLOCK
The Lions are still looking for a taste of success on the road, where they are 0-4-1 this season. Their one point away from home came on September 18 in a 0-0 draw against LIU in which Collodi racked up seven saves. Columbia's last road victory came on September 20, 2019, defeating UConn, 3-2.

Â
#5 | THE OPPONENT
Dartmouth (2-9-0, 0-3-0 Ivy) has yet to come away with a point in Ivy League play and has suffered two of its three defeats in overtime. Back on Oct. 2, the Big Green dropped their Ivy opener at home after rallying back from 2-0 down to force overtime. In their last Ivy outing, Dartmouth broke a goalless game in the 82nd minute and seemed on its way to victory, but surrendered an equalizer less than four minutes later in what ultimately resulted in another double-overtime defeat.
Â
Dartmouth has scored eight goals on the season, led by two from Bern Jenkins. Six other Big Green players have found the back of the net once. In goal, Alex Budnik has seen the majority of the minutes and has started all three Ivy League matches. He carries a GAA of 1.83 with 17 goals allowed in 835:21.
Â
The all-time series between Columbia and Dartmouth began in 1960. The Lions trail the series 23-30-8 and snapped the Big Green's four-match winning streak with a 1-0 overtime victory in 2018 in New York.
Sebastian Gunbeyi netted the game-winner less than five minutes into overtime, taking advantage of a misplayed header by a Dartmouth defender and beating the keeper 1-on-1. It was Gunbeyi's first collegiate goal.
Â
The last time the two sides met was in 2019 up in Dartmouth, which resulted in a 0-0 draw. Columbia's last series victory on the road came in 2013 by a score of 2-0.
