ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Columbia Fencing was well-represented at this past weekend's North American Cup as four Lions—senior
Sidarth Kumbla, senior
Josef Cohen, first-year
Ethan Kushnerik, and sophomore
Delphine DeVore—finished among the top-10 in their respective weapons in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
Kumbla took runner-up honors out of 223 fencers in men's foil, Cohen placed sixth out of 152 men's sabre fencers, Kushnerik finished seventh out of 213 men's epee fencers, and DeVore registered an eighth place finish out of 153 women's foil fencers. Columbia also had a group of other fencers who placed among the top-32 in various weapons.
Several Columbia alums also placed high in various weapons including Olympian Jackie Dubrovich '16CC, who took fifth in women's foil,
Andrew Doddo '21CC, who took fifth in men's sabre, and Anne Cebula '20BC, who placed sixth in women's epee.
